Former Head Coach Of Vityaz Handball Club: Strike Is Last Nail In Regime's Coffin

Prepare for the strike, and wear the masks correctly.

Former head coach of the Vityaz handball club, activist of the Free Association of Belarusian Athletes, Kanstantsin Yakauleu, supported the workers' demands and urged Belarusians to stay at home from November 1:

- I know firsthand how to strike. Our club went on strike when Yelena Leuchanka was arrested. I have never regretted this decision, I have not become weaker. I just know that someone has to start. My opinion has not changed. Today, as well as a year ago, I am confident that the national general strike is the last nail in the regime's coffin. I will not stop talking about it.

Well, after all, do not listen to some GUBOPiKs, the so-called representatives of the power structures of Belarus, who will tell us that they will deprive us of our citizenship. Us, Belarusians! My children, sisters, brothers, classmates, relatives. All those who were forced to leave for Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania.

Don't even dream about it! I am a Belarusian, my citizenship will remain with me forever. I have three young children, and together with them we write letters to political prisoners. I saw how Andrei Krauchanka (Olympic medalist, World Championship, European athletics champion - edit.) went through a hunger strike to support the people. I myself have served an administrative detention (you probably know why), I will not have another life, and I will not give this life to anyone.

Get ready to go on strike, and wear your masks correctly!
