The "repair" of the pipeline is supposed to last for three days.
Homeltransnauta has restricted oil pumping through the pipeline "Druzhba" in the direction of Poland for three days because of the "unscheduled repair" that started yesterday on one of the branches of the pipeline.
Transnauta spokesman Ihar Dziomin told TASS about it.
"Since yesterday, Homeltransnauta began unscheduled repairs on one of the branches of the Druzhba main oil pipeline, limiting pumping in the direction of Adamova Zastava (Poland) for about three days, and the planned task of the month is not reconsidered," he said.
Druzhba pipeline provides supplies of oil to the Belarusian oil refineries and its transit to Europe. The pipeline runs from Samara region of the Russian Federation, passes through Bryansk and then splits into two sections: north and south, passes through Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Hungary, Latvia and Lithuania.
