The decision was announced against the background of another NTV news attack on the Belarusian dictator.
Vladimir Putin is not going to fly to Minsk on November 4th and will not invite Aliaksandr Lukashenka. This information has been officially confirmed. A meeting of the State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia is scheduled for November 4, reports telegraf.by.
Aliaksandr Lukashenka and Vladimir Putin were supposed to sign the integration plans, which had been previously, in their words, agreed in the Kremlin on September 9.
However, November 2, it was officially announced that the meeting would not take place. But there will be a video conference.
A spokesman for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov says the meeting of the State Council will be held via video conference. And this is even though Vladimir Putin is no longer in quarantine. He is even going to Sevastopol on this day.
He promised, but he never arrived
On September, 10, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that Aliaksandr Lukashenka and Vladimir Putin would meet again in the fall. Moreover, the president of Russia was going to come to Minsk.
Later it became known that Vladimir Putin had planned to arrive in Minsk on October 14-15 for a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the Council of CIS Heads of State.
However, October 12, the press service of the Kremlin said that Vladimir Putin would take part in the meeting by video conference. As a result, none of the CIS heads of state flew to Minsk.
The visit was cancelled after the incident with the website blocking of Komsomolskaya Pravda in Belarus. However, Russian political analyst Suzdaltsev considers "the opinion that Putin's absence at the summit of the CIS/EEU in Minsk was a reaction of Moscow to the incident with the Russian information resource in Belarus (Komsomolskaya Pravda) is incorrect. However, he gave other reasons why it happened. And the situation, in his opinion, is much more serious.
The "Botox" scandal
Later, something interesting began. Belarusian state TV showed a program where Aliaksandr Lukashenka was compared to some "Botox" president in a "bunker". And later, employees of the state TV channel called the journalists from Russia "media bastards".
The Belarusian presenter did not mention any names, but many people thought it was Vladimir Putin.
All because his opponents often say that Putin injects Botox. In addition, journalists note that when the situation with coronavirus worsens, Putin often holds meetings via teleconference. In this case, the windowless office in which he stays is compared with a bunker.
However, Russian TV suddenly began to criticize Aliaksandr Lukashenka openly.
On Sunday, October 31, Russian media published another critical article about Lukashenka. In the final program, the Russian NTV channel talked about the "covid-dissident" in Belarus.
"Demonstrated a disdainful attitude" - Russian NTV showed Lukashenka and declared "common sense," but not in Belarus. Does the scandal continue?
Has the Kremlin reached out to the opposition?
And then Russian tg-channels began to publish leaks. For example, deputy editor of the international politics department of the Russian Komsomolskaya Pravda Edward Chesnokov stated that the Kremlin had begun to consider the possibility of negotiations with the Belarusian opposition. He referred to his sources and rumours in the Russian corridors of power.
