Poland's Ambassador To EU: Further Sanctions Against Lukashenka's Regime Are Inevitable

Andrzej Sados has said it is necessary to have a plan of support for a democratic Belarus.

Andrzej Sados, Polish diplomat, the official representative of Warsaw in the European Union, said that further sanctions against Alexander Lukashenka's regime are inevitable, polskieradio.pl reports.

During a videoconference, organized by the Permanent Mission of Poland to the EU, which was attended by ambassadors of 27 EU countries, as well as the United States, Britain and Canada, representatives of the European Commission, former presidential candidate Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and director of the Belsat TV channel Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy, he voiced the need to develop a plan of support for a democratic Belarus.

The Polish ambassador added that they were also talking about the program of economic support for democratic Belarus. This is an idea of Poland, supported by the heads of the EU countries last year.
