VIACHASLAU SIDARAKIN

Apart from him, the recently arrested acting KGB official also was there.

According to the BYPOL initiative, the audio record published in early January contains the voice of Homel resident, former “Almaz” employee Viachaslau Sidarakin. Apart from him, there was acting KGB official Yury Harkach, “Flagpole” writes.

This is the very recording of a conversation in which ex-head of the KGB Vadzim Zaitsau discussed murders of political emigrants, including Pavel Sheremet.

Sidarakin is supposed to be the Voice#2 in the audio record leaked back then. According to

BYPOL, a speech defect - mispronunciation of the [r] sound - indicates this is indeed his voice.

“What is the true aim the regime, impersonated by KGB Head Ivan Tsiartsel, pursues by arresting Y. Harkach and V. Sidarakin under made-up allegations of co-partnership in preparation of a terrorist attack this year?”, BYPOL writes.

Viachaslau Sidarakin went missing on February 9. His daughter said later that she was afraid he had been murdered. Then, she was informed that he was held in the KGB pre-trial detention center.
