Azerbaijani Opposition Supported the Belarusian People in the Struggle for Freedom

The victory of the Belarusians is important not only for the region but also for the entire democratic world.

Chairman of the Commission on International and Interparty Relations of the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijani opposition party Law and Justice Kamran Jafarov expressed support for the protesting Belarusians. The Charter97.org website publishes his statement:

- On behalf of all members of the Law and Justice party, I declare that we have supported, support, and will support the Belarusian people in the struggle for freedom against the usurper Aliaksandr Lukashenka.

We consider the actions of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, namely a meeting with Lukashenka, a meeting with Belarusian Defense Minister Viktar Khrenin, support for the dictatorial regime in Belarus unacceptable and directed against the Belarusian people.

The position of our political party reflects the position of the Azerbaijani people because we are faced with the same problem as you, this problem is called a dictator.

The victory of the Belarusian people (which I do not doubt for a second) is important not only for the region but for the entire democratic world.
