The reasons are unknown.

On July 12, at 12.57, the first power unit of the BelNPP was disconnected from the network by automatic generator protection, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reports.

- In accordance with the standard algorithm, the power of the reactor plant was reduced, - the Ministry of Energy said.

The radiation situation at the nuclear power plant and in the observation area, reportedly, has not changed. The reasons for the shutdown of the generator are being established.

Let us remind you that there were also shutdowns of power units at the BelNPP earlier. The authorities called them "planned."
