Zhlobin Steel Works Administration Got Scared Of Strike And Complete Stoppage Of The Enterprise

150 employees have stood up for their colleague.

The Nick and Mike telegram channel believes that solidarity is the only weapon against the regime's lawlessness.

"It has been best demonstrated at the Minsk Dairy Plant, when they rebelled against the new contract terms and all the plant wrote applications for dismissal. The result was that the issue was given publicity and the workers were asked to return to their jobs. There was no more talk about a new article in the contract.

Recently, a similar story happened at the BMZ. At the end of May, Andrei Novikau, deputy head of the automatization department (IT department), was informed that his contract was not going to be renewed. It is not clear where he got spotted. In August he was on the square, like many thousands of citizens, but did not show any further activity. Probably, the reason was that he refused to sign the last anti-sanction letter. However, there is plenty of suspiciousness at the plant on any occasion. The thing is that in autumn the BMZ got a new position in which a KGB agent works. Earlier he headed... the Zhlobin department of the KGB.

Having found out about the forthcoming dismissal for obviously non-working reasons, the workers of the automatization department wrote an appeal to the general director with a request to sort it out and started collecting signatures. In a couple of hours about 150 people signed the appeal, almost no one got scared. Moreover, some people suggested even more radical option: not to collect signatures but to write resignation notices right away.

After collecting a critical mass of signatures the appeal was passed to the General Director. The latter, of course, being no fool, understood at once what was going on. The fact is that a strike of 11 thousand workers is not needed to bring the BMZ to a complete halt. The disobedience of at least a hundred of two hundred employees of the automatization department would be enough. Without the IT staff, neither the company's financial system, nor the production automatization, nor many other systems would work.

The CEO asked Novikau to stay, reasoning that some mistake had happened and that he was not aware of it at all. Novikau refused to be propitiated - IT specialists are now in high demand, and the BMZ is obviously not able to compete with EPAM and other similar companies. Then the director asked him very nicely to leave quietly and not to take the specialists with him.

The moral of this fable is very simple. Formally, the CEO acknowledged the dismissal as a mistake and was ready to return Novikau to his previous job. This is yet another shining example of how solidarity helps to fight the junta's lawlessness.

And another perfect example of what the 97 percent conspiracy is all about. It cannot be defeated. People left the streets, but nothing has changed in their minds. No matter how much the system represses people, it only raises the level of hatred and aggression. It is possible to destroy the HTP, but let us remind you that there are IT specialists at the BMZ, Belkali, MAZ and at any other production facilities. And the junta has not yet figured out what to do with them. Obviously, the stories about the war do not work on them.

Stand up for each other. Don't let your fellow workers be fired or hurt. Remember: they can only beat us one by one. You can't fire an entire department or plant in one day. For that would result in the kind of strike that knocks the junta for a loop. Agrofascism can only be defeated by standing shoulder to shoulder. Do not be indifferent! For when they come to fire you, there will be no one left to stand up for you," the telegram channel wrote.
