Ukrainian Nikolaev Announced New Tender For Buses Because Of Sanctions Against MAZ

Earlier, the city authorities suspended the purchase indefinitely because of the political situation in Belarus.

The Ukrainian city of Nikolaev will hold a new tender for the supply of 50 buses. This was reported on Facebook by its mayor Aleksandr Senkevich.

"The winner of all tender requirements was the representative of the company MAZ in Ukraine," Senkevich writes. "However, due to the EU sanctions against Belarusian companies, it was decided to announce a new tender and invite more participants."

The mayor notes that the situation with the purchase of new buses for the city "was considered in cooperation with the European Investment Bank".

Earlier, the Ukrainian city had indefinitely suspended the purchase of 50 Belarusian trolleybuses because of the political situation in Belarus.
