Belarusbank Has Set Serious Limits for Plastic Cards

The explanations of the state bank raise doubts.

Belarusbank has set serious limits for holders of plastic cards, the press service of the bank reports.

In particular, from August 26, a restriction of 400 Belarusian rubles per day is introduced for bank cards issued within the framework of the Velvet club.

The bank explains such measures allegedly "minimize the cases of theft of funds from customer accounts."

Let us remind you that, a few days ago, the international rating agency Fitch Ratings withdrew the ratings of two large Belarusian state-owned banks - Belarusbank and Belinvestbank. The reason is the imposed EU sanctions against these financial institutions.
