Hundreds of Illegal Migrants Continue to Storm the Borders of the EU Countries from the Territory of Belarus

Attempts to cross the border illegally are reported by Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia.

Over the past day, Polish border guards stopped 230 attempts to illegally cross the border from Belarus, the Polish Border Guard Service reports on Twitter.

It is noted that, on September 14, four people were detained for complicity in illegal migration - a Turk with Belgian citizenship, a Turkish citizen with a residence permit in Germany, as well as citizens of Italy and Poland.

According to the Polish border service, since the beginning of September, more than 2.7 thousand attempts to illegally cross the border from Belarus have been recorded.

The State Border Guard of Latvia reports on its website that 15 people have made attempts to illegally cross the border from the territory of Belarus over the past day. No one was detained, and no one was allowed into the country.

It is noted that since August 10, when a state of emergency was declared in the regions bordering on Belarus, and 1,166 illegal migrants have not been allowed into Latvia. During the same time, 25 people were admitted for humanitarian reasons. Since the beginning of the year, 377 foreigners who illegally crossed the border have been detained in the country.
