Lithuanian Foreign Minister: The West Must Be Ready for Non-recognition of the “Union State” of the Russian Federation and Belarus

The West should be ready not to recognize the "union state" of Russia and Belarus if it is formed.

This was stated by Foreign Minister Gabrielus Landsbergis after a meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Evropeyskaya Pravda reports with reference to BNS.

According to him, Lukashenka has no authority to sign international agreements.

“I just said that the political and military rapprochement between Belarus and Russia is very worrying. One must be prepared for a policy of non-recognition if the states become united, bearing in mind that the illegitimate president does not have the authority to sign such treaties. This should be clearly stated with the voice of the West,” Landsbergis said.
