Ukrainian Army Encircles Occupants Near Davydov Brod And Develops Offensive On Kherson

After a blitz counterattack in the Kharkiv and Lyman areas, Ukrainian soldiers advanced towards Kreminna and Svatovo in the Luhansk region. Several settlements have been liberated. The occupants are trying to build a system of defense.

Liberation of the Luhansk region

Analysts note that Ukrainian troops have reached the outskirts of Malinovka (44 km northwest of Svatovo) and strengthened positions in Dvurichne (54 km northwest of Svatovo).

At the same time, the invaders were firing from closed positions in the Kupyansk direction and attempted to attack west of Kremenna by reinforcing defensive positions in the Svatovo-Kremenna area.

Meanwhile, the AFU repulsed an attack by Russian forces in Novosadove (16 km west of Kremenna), although Russian propaganda reported on the "capture of the settlement."

"Russian forces may conduct counterattacks west of Kremenna to delay the advance of Ukrainian forces and gain time to reinforce and resupply units and reinforce defensive positions. However, Russian elements in the area are likely to be significantly weakened," analysts note.

Counterattack in the Kherson region

Ukrainian soldiers continue to develop a counteroffensive in the Kherson region. On October 12, the AFU conducted counteroffensive in the northwest and west of the Kherson region, advancing southward from the front line in the northwest of the region and attacking toward Milove along the western bank of the Dnipro River.

The Russians stated that the AFU attempted to advance through the "cauldron" of Davydov Brod in western Kherson region. Russian war correspondents say the Ukrainian army attacked the occupants in the direction of Ishchanka and Kostromka.

"Ukrainian military representatives confirm that the AFU liberated five settlements in the north of the region and remained operationally silent about specific ground maneuvers in the area," the analysts added.
