The Investigatory Committee named the cause of the crash of the Su-34 fighter jet in Yeysk. According to investigators, there was a technical malfunction, TASS reported.

The jet crash in Yeysk happened yesterday. The aircraft crashed on a residential building: the Ministry of Defense reported that it was a training flight. 13 people were killed, including three children, and 19 people were injured.

The IC qualified the incident as a violation of flight rules or preparation for them (Article 351 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The criminal investigation is ongoing.

"Currently, the investigation is considering a technical malfunction of the aircraft as the main version of the fall," the report says.
