Video Fact: German SPG PzH 2000 Smashing Occupiers Near Bakhmut

The 26th Artillery Brigade of the AFU showed self-propelled guns in action.

The Arabic Al Jazeera channel has shown the use of German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery units in combat actions near Bakhmut. The experience was shared by fighters of the Roman Dashkevych brigade, 24tv.ua reported.

The Panzerhaubitze 2000 SPG are covering Ukrainian troops and conducting counter-battery fire in Donetsk region.

The PzH 2000 is a closed cannon on a tracked chassis built on the basis of units and aggregates of the Leoprad 2 tank. This German 155mm cannon has a 52 calibre barrel and automatic loading system.

The projectile takes about 40 seconds to reach its target. The trajectory is adjusted after receiving information from drones.

In September this year, Germany announced the decision to hand over four more PzH 2000 units. So the total number of Panzerhaubitze 2000s received from Berlin will rise to 14 units. Together with howitzers from the Netherlands, the number of SPGs of this type transferred to Ukraine has increased to 22 units.
