AFU Cut Off Russian Army’s ‘Route Of Life’ North Of Svatove

Units of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the invaders were defeated.

In the Luhansk region, Ukrainian fighters advanced to the “route of life” R-66 (Svatove - Kreminna), which significantly complicated the logistics of supplying for enemy troops. In turn, the invaders unsuccessfully tried to counterattack, and suffered losses.

According to the DeepState project, as of the beginning of the day, October 28, in the Svatove direction, hostilities continue along the entire line of collision.

The situation near Svatove in the Luhansk region was described in more detail on Facebook by the military observer of the Information Resistance group Kostyantyn Mashovets.

According to the analyst, the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Svatove direction are very close to physically cutting off the R-66 road (the specific point was not disclosed for security reasons). At the same time, a significant section of the “route of life” between Svatove and Kreminna is under the effective fire control of the Ukrainian artillery. Moreover, the section north of Svatove has already been cut in at least two places.

Consequently, the command of the enemy troops is forced to provide material and technical support for its tactical grouping in the Svatove area exclusively through Troitske, or all around, through Starobilsk.

Mashovets also informs that the tactical group of enemy forces (up to 3 armored personnel carriers) did not go over to the expected offensive on Zarichne and Torske, but tried to advance in the south-west direction with the participation of 3 armored vehicles (a kind of reconnaissance in force) — it was useless.

A unit of the 27th motorized rifle brigade of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the RF Armed Forces (up to the “combined battalion”), defending along the Volodymyrivka-Kuzemivka line and covering the direction to Nyzhnia Duvanka, on the night of October 24-25, 2022, suffered a massive fire defeat from side of the advanced units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And the next two days it was forced to make up for the losses with manpower and several units of general military equipment.

The enemy units defending to the west and south-west of Svatove, along the line of Raihorodok - Novovodyane, also suffered a significant fire defeat and now, according to their command, are “on the verge of combat capability”, as a result of which they are forced to gradually retreat in a northeast direction.

Thus, the expert sums up, the distance between the positions of the advanced units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which continue to gradually move towards Svatove from the south-west, and the outskirts of the city has been reduced to 12 km.
