Ukrainian Army Is Close To Enemy's 'Underbelly' In Luhansk Region

The Armed Forces of Ukraine keep the Svatove-Kreminna highway under fire control.

The Ukrainian military inflicted a number of fire damage on the places of deployment of the Russian occupiers in the area of the cities of Kreminna and Lysychansk. The Ukrainian forces have created favourable circumstances for further successful advance into the very 'underbelly' of the Russian group in the Luhansk region.

Dmytro Snehirev, a military expert, co-chairman of the Just Cause non-government initiative, spoke about the situation on the fronts on the air of the Apostroph TV Channel.

He noted that now Ukraine holds the Svatove-Kreminna highway under fire control. This makes it impossible for the Russians to relocate, supply fuel and the necessary equipment.

“We are talking about the capture of the village of Belohorivka and, accordingly, the entry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the key route - this is the logistical component of the occupying army - they are talking about the Svatove-Kremenna highway. Now this route is under fire control. Accordingly, this makes it impossible to redeploy the manpower of the occupying army, fuel, weapons, and heavy armoured vehicles. We can say that as of the last 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted a number of strikes on the places of deployment of the occupiers in the area of the city of Kreminna and in the area of Lysychansk. The Ukrainian forces have created favourable circumstances for further successful advance into the occupied Luhansk region,” the expert stressed.

Dmytro Snehirev noted that, according to information from the rear areas of the Luhansk region, units of the second army corps, the so-called “combat army reserve of the country”, and the corresponding engineering equipment are being redeployed in the direction of the city of Kreminna to create a second defence echelon.

“Namely, the redeployment of heavy armoured vehicles was recorded, the convoys are going through the city of Starobilsk. The Ukrainian intelligence community received information about places of heavy armoured vehicles and manpower accumulation. Surgical strike on the places of accumulation gave a positive result. The main line of defence now runs just along the line Svatove - Kreminna - Rubizhne. The Belohorivka foothold provides an opportunity for successful advancement in several axes. This is the Lisichansk axis, the agglomeration of large industrial cities Lysychansk - Sievierodonetsk - Rubizhne and, accordingly, in the Kreminna axis. That is, Ukrainian forces are actually clost the Russian group's 'underbelly'. It is located in the Luhansk region. The maximum distance to the city of Kreminna is 15 kilometres,” he said.

On the positive side: we can say that the occupying troops are carrying out such additional measures that make it impossible for the intense desertion of manpower, in the first place, of the Russian occupation troops, which are located directly on the first line.

“We are talking about the redeployment, in fact, to the area of combat operations of the units of the Russian National Guard. That is, let's be frank, these are retreat blocking detachments. Regarding the newly mobilized, we can say that it was in the Luhansk region that the so-called mobilized from the Russian Federation did not even manage to reach the front line. Ukrainian weapons of destruction, missile systems mainly, carried out strikes on the echelons with the mobilized soldiers. By the way, Russian sources had to confirm this information,” the military expert added.
