Massive Fire Raging On Crimean Bridge

The railway track was damaged and partially collapsed into the water.

On the morning of October 8, a powerful fire broke out on the Crimean bridge after an explosion. A huge plume of black smoke is billowing into the sky.

It is reported by RBC-Ukraine.

Information about the fire began to arrive at about 06:40 hours. Soon, photos and videos appeared on the internet confirming that the bridge itself was on fire.

In the footage, you can see how the railway track broke out. However, damage on the road is also visible. The bridge is closed to traffic.

According to preliminary information, a part of a railway line or a fuel train broke out there. This was reported by the Russian propaganda media.

“It is reported about the state of emergency in the area of the Crimean bridge in Kerch. Local residents say that part of the railway line caught fire. The information is being verified,” the propagandists say.

The Russian propaganda media RIA Novosti, citing the so-called “adviser to the head of Crimea,” reports that a fuel tank is on fire on one of the sections of the bridge.

“The tank with fuel, according to preliminary data, is on fire on one of the sections of the Crimean bridge, the shipping arches are not damaged,” said the “adviser to the head of Crimea,” writes a Russian propaganda publication.

Local residents report hearing the explosion around 6 am. The explosion was so strong that even the walls in the houses shook. After that, a flame broke out on the bridge.

The bridge was closed to traffic. The Crimean Railways said that a fuel tank caught fire at the tail of a freight train on the bridge.

“The locomotive with part of the cars was brought to the Kerch station. Emergency work is underway. The causes of the incident are being established,” they said.

The fact of a strong fire was confirmed to Ukrayinska Pravda by eyewitnesses in Kerch. The publication published photos showing a strong fire, and a column of smoke.

The Ukrainian edition InformNapalm reports that the railway track on the Crimean bridge collapsed into the water: “Just a fire with spans of the roadway lying in the water.”

Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaly Kim also posted a video of the fire on the bridge in his Telegram.

There you can see the burning tanks with the fuel which they, probably, were delivering to the front for the occupiers to use.
