This was stated by Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksiy Hromov.

“About 10-15 thousand personnel of the power structures of the Republic of Belarus are ready to take part in the so-called special military operation of the Russian Federation. First of all, because of the attractiveness of high financial provision,” said Oleksiy Hromov.

At the same time, according to him, the readiness of the armed forces of Belarus to conduct independent military operations in Ukraine is assessed as low — most of the personnel refuse to participate in the war.

According to the estimates of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, about 9,000 Russian soldiers and about 250 units of Russian military equipment are currently in Belarus. These are units of the 1st Tank Army, primarily the 2nd Motorized Rifle Division, along with equipment and just mobilized. They are placed at the main military training grounds of Belarus.

In October, the Russian Federation transferred to Belarus about 1,500 railway platforms with weapons and military equipment, up to 200 passenger cars, and more than 100 freight cars with military equipment.

“The enemy is spreading information about the so-called possible aggravation of the situation between November 23 and 28 on the Russian-Ukrainian border. At the same time, it is stated that NATO and Ukraine want to seize the border areas of “peace-loving Belarus and Russia,” Hromov said and did not rule out that the Russians could arrange provocations during this period.

Earlier today, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine distributed an urgent video message to the Belarusian people. It claims that the Russian special services are ready to resort to provocations in order to draw Belarus into a war with Russia. The Armed Forces of Ukraine ask the citizens of Belarus to be vigilant and report suspicious activities around critical infrastructure facilities, especially the Astravets nuclear power plant.
