Kalinouski Regiment Commander Meets With Mayor Of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko

The mayor thanked the Belarusians for their participation in the defense of the capital of Ukraine.

On November 4, Commander of the Kastus Kalinouski regiment Dzianis Prokharau (“Kit”), met with Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko. The mayor of the Ukrainian capital thanked the Belarusians for participating in its defense in February-March 2022. “Kit” participated in those battles, was wounded, and his friend Ilia Khrenau (“Litvin”) died.

Klitschko spoke about the political situation in Belarus. It was emphasized that “the absolute majority of Belarusians support Ukraine in its struggle and have a categorically negative attitude towards the use of the territory of their country for aggression against the Ukrainian people”.

They also discussed issues of assistance from the Kyiv city administration to the Kalinouski regiment, the press-center of the formation reports.
