Tatarstan Led Rebellion

This can lead to one of two scenarios.

Tatarstan has always been a very problematic region for Russia due to clear separatist and nationalist sentiments.

Processes began in Russia, about which I warned earlier and which I was looking forward to. Tatarstan is considering the possibility of holding a referendum on retaining the post of President of the Republic. Sources believe that the citizens of the region will support the preservation of the existing position title. This directly contradicts the goals and laws of the Kremlin.

In fact, we are witnessing a clear rebellion against the federal government. And it is clear why Tatarstan led this rebellion.

Tatarstan has always been a very problematic region for Russia due to clear separatist and nationalist sentiments. You can start with the fact that the post of President of Tatarstan was established by Shaimiev, who became the first president of the republic. He initiated this process as Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, and was president from 1991 to 2010.

During his time, he was behind the growth of national movements. Everything gave a reason to believe that rich Tatarstan would want to secede from the Russian Federation, like Chechnya. But the Kremlin took into account the mistakes and... It bought Shaimiev. As a result, he extinguished active separatist sentiments in the republic. And the Shaimiev family became incredibly rich. At the end of 2019, the family of the first president of Tatarstan was in the top 3 richest clans in Russia, taking its place just behind the Gutserievs and Rotenbergs. Now the local elites are not happy with the Kremlin's attitude and the old sentiments have begun to revive. Although, it must be admitted that nationalist and anti-Russian sentiments have always been strong in Tatarstan and were successfully extinguished only by financial influences. And now the financial flow has dried up under the influence of sanctions. And the manifestations of these sentiments in society at all levels began.

And the first manifestation was ignoring the Federal Law. It seems that having been impressed by the autonomy of Chechnya during the war and having received its own national battalions, as well as understanding the weakness of the Kremlin, Tatarstan went into open confrontation.

This can lead to one of two options: either the local elites will get what they want and this will be a public humiliation of the authorities, or the Kremlin will try to nip this story in the bud. Then we can see a bright conflict, which, perhaps, will be the first spark of a fire that will burn Russia as an empire. After all, the new Carthage must be destroyed. So why not start this process with Tatarstan.
