Explosions In Engels: AFU Attacked ‘Nuclear Triad’ Of The Russian Federation

Explosions in Russia, including at important military facilities in the deep regions of the Russian Federation, do not in any way affect the increase in the number of enemy missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine.

Military expert Dmytro Snehirev told about it in an interview with TSN.

“We have been observing this (Russian missile strikes – Ed.) since October. Regardless of whether strikes were made on military infrastructure facilities in the deep regions of the Russian Federation or not, Russia has adopted the tactics of missile terror,” he noted.

The expert recalled that, according to the military doctrine of the Russian Federation, strikes against critical infrastructure, and housing infrastructure is a compulsion to capitulate to the opposite side. Snegirev is sure that they will continue to use this tactic.

According to him, strikes against military infrastructure facilities, including the Dyahilevo (Ryazan) and Engels-2 airfields, airbases in Kursk, Bryansk, are an opportunity to reduce the level of missile threat from Russia.

“Not accidentally, that President Volodymyr Zelensky said that we will respond to terror. That is, no one will keep Ukrainian cities at gunpoint with impunity. The strike by unknown drones was carried out on the day of Russian air defence. Unknown drones hit two targets at the same time: military - the direct storage of missiles and aircraft, and political - the humiliation of the Russian Federation,” the expert notes.

Now the Russians have been clearly shown that there is no air defence system capable of protecting them from strikes. Snehirev calls this thesis the main demotivating factor within the Russian Federation itself.

“Because the Engels airfield is part of the so-called nuclear triad. Russian aircraft capable of carrying nuclear warheads are based there. This is a signal to the Russians that if the Russian air defence cannot cover such strategic objects, then it makes no sense to talk about the possibility of covering the objects of critical power systems. A blackout may follow.” he summed up.

Explosions at military airbases in Russia

Recall that on the night of December 26, explosions were heard at the Russian airfield in the city of Engels, where strategic bombers are based. It happened for the second time this month.

According to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, it was allegedly a drone. Its wreckage killed three Russian soldiers.

The previous explosions at this airfield, as well as at the Dyagilevo airbase (Ryazan region) thundered on December 5.

Then, at the Engels airfield, two enemy Tu-95 strategic bombers were damaged as a result of an explosion. In addition, three Russian soldiers were killed.

A satellite image of the Dyagilevo airbase showed burning traces around the Tu-22M3 aircraft, which was supposed to bomb Ukrainian cities.

On December 6, a "bang" occurred at the airfield in Kursk. An oil reservoir caught fire near the Kursk airfield.
