Hundreds of people were evacuated from the famous business centre.

The Bereg business centre in St Petersburg has caught fire. 200 people were evacuated from the building, press-service of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region MES reports.

Russian propaganda media are reporting the news.

"30 firefighters are extinguishing the Bereg business centre on Nepokoryonnykh Avenue in St Petersburg. Six fire engines have been sent to the scene. The fire has been given an additional number of BIS No.1," local media reported.

The fire started in a warehouse and spread to an area of 80 square metres. As many as 200 people were evacuated from the business centre before firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported.

"There is heavy smoke, the smell of burning plastic," residents said. "There's something burning, it's all smoggy, you can't breathe".
