Legendary Pilot Karaya Awarded 'Hero Of Ukraine'

The pilot destroyed five Iranian drones over Vynnitsa Oblast.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the title "Hero of Ukraine" to the military pilot Vadym Voroshylov with the call sign Karaya.

This writes RBC-Ukraine with reference to the decree of the President of Ukraine.

The title was awarded for personal courage and heroism shown in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as selfless service to the Ukrainian people.

"To confer the title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of Order "Golden Star" to Voroshylov Vadym Oleksandrovych - major", the decree says.

We would like to add that on October 12, the pilot destroyed five Iranian drones over Vynnitsa Oblast. Then he ejected previously taking the plane away from a settled area.

"On the fourth day after the ejection, they visited the scene, apologized for the discomfort created, thanked the inhabitants for the nerves of steel, comprehensive assistance provided during the evacuation and faith in the AFU", the pilot wrote on his Instagram account.
