A pontoon bridge across the Pripyat River was deployed on the territory of Belarus at a distance of 4 km from Ukraine. Moreover, this area was not declared for the Russian-Belarusian exercises.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Militar Portal.
It is reported that a pontoon bridge across the river Prypiats was deployed on the territory of the Palesse State Radiation and Ecological Reserve in the Belarusian part of the Chernobyl exclusion zone.
The publication specifies that the deployment of the pontoon bridge has been noticed by OSINT researchers, who are studying the open data. In particular, satellite images show that it wasn't there on February 14, while on February 15 the crossing has already appeared.
It is also reported that it is unknown whether the Russian or Belarusian military deployed the pontoon bridge. The area was not declared as part of the Union Resolute 2022 exercise. To the north is the section "Mazyr," where the Russians are practicing "defensive actions".
It should be noted that pontoon bridges are built for the crossing of equipment and manpower over water obstacles.
We remind you that earlier the Lukashenka regime assured that there were no risks and threats to Ukraine during the joint exercises with Russia.
