Vitalik Buterin, one of the inventors and the lead developer of the Ethereum cryptocurrency, has publicly expressed support for Ukraine in the conflict with Russia, reports nv.ua.

One of the leaders of the cryptocurrency world reacted harshly to the tweet of the Kremlin propagandist Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Russia Today, who said that everyone who is now ashamed to feel like the Russians are not really Russians.

Buterin, in response, succinctly wrote "F*ck you".

Earlier, on the morning of February 24, at the very beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Buterin wrote on his Twitter account that he was very upset by Putin's decision to abandon the possibility of a peaceful resolution of the dispute with Ukraine and started a war instead.

"This is a crime against the Ukrainian and Russian people," the Ethereum developer emphasised.

His tweet ended with the words "Glory to Ukraine".

Vitalik Buterin was born in Russia and immigrated with his parents to Canada when he was 6 years old. Buterin is one of the inventors of Ethereum. At the moment, it is the second most important cryptocurrency after bitcoin.
