Photographer Uladz Hrydzin Detained In Minsk

In Minsk, security forces detained photographer Uladz Hrydzin, Radio Svaboda reports citing relatives.
According to relatives, Hrydzin has stopped communicating since lunch on Friday, February 4. Today they learned that the photographer is in the Akrestsin Street detention center.
Uladz Hrydzin worked as a photojournalist for Radio Svaboda until August 29, 2020, when the authorities deprived him and three other Belarusian journalists of their accreditation.
In September 2020, Uladz Hrydzin was detained while performing journalistic duties and spent 11 days in the Akrestsin Street detention center.
Hrydzin is the winner and laureate of the Belarus Press Photo contest, his photographs were published by the world agencies and media.
