According to the investigation, on March 16 at 10 am in one of the residential areas of Chernihiv, the Russian military fired at people standing in a queue for bread.

According to preliminary data, 10 people died. The exact number of victims is being specified.

On this fact, a pre-trial investigation has been launched.

“Such actions pose a direct threat to the life and health of the civilian population, contradict the norms of international humanitarian law,” the Prosecutor General’s Office notes and reminds that the articles of the Geneva Convention directly prohibit attacks on the civilian population and civilian objects.
