Italian citizen Edy Ongaro died in eastern Ukraine. Back in 2015, he joined the militant groups and fought against the Ukrainians.

Initially, the information about the death of the Italian was published by the organization Collettivo Stella Rossa. Subsequently, this was confirmed by a close friend of the pro-Russian militant Massimo Pin.

Edy Ongaro is from Venice, he was 46 years old. The militant died near Avdiyivka as a result of a hand grenade explosion.

It is known that he arrived in the occupied Donbas in 2015. Before that, the man had problems with the law in Italy due to a brawl in a bar. He escaped before the completion of the trial.

In the Donbas, Ongaro joined the Ghost battalion and fought on the Russian side under the call sign Bozambo.
