The flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet was hit in the Black Sea during a storm. It is known that an ammunition detonated on the ship during the strike. After which the ship was turned on its port side and the power supply was lost. Before the cruiser went down, it managed to send an SOS signal.

According to Russian media, the crew was evacuated.
