A public garden named after Kastus Kalinouski will appear in the Ukrainian capital. The corresponding decision was made by the commission on names of the Kyiv State Administration. Now it must be approved by local deputies, the website euroradio.fm reports.

The decision was made thanks to the efforts of representatives of the Belarusian community in Kyiv, said activist Valery Slepukhin. He was engaged in perpetuating the memory of Kalinouski.

The public garden will appear at the intersection of Grodnenska and Almaatinska streets in the Dnieper district of the city.
