The New York Times has published shocking images.
Analysis of satellite images of Bucha shows the bodies of locals had been lying for weeks, which refutes the Russian Defence Ministry's claims that the killing of civilians in the Kyiv suburb allegedly took place after their soldiers left the city.
The New York Times reported this.
Thus, a review of video and satellite images shows that many civilians were killed more than three weeks ago when the Russian military controlled the city.
One video, taken by a city council member on April 2 in Bucha, shows many bodies lying on Jblonskaya Street. Satellite images provided to foreign journalists by Maxar Technologies show that at least 11 of them had been on the street since March 11, when Russia, in its own words, seized the city.

To confirm the correct time when the bodies appeared and when civilians were likely killed, the visual investigations team at The Times analysed satellite images before and after. The images show dark, human-body-sized objects appearing on Jablonskaya Street between March 9 and 11.
"The objects appear precisely in the same position in which the bodies were found when Ukrainian forces retook Bucha, as the footage of April 2nd shows. Further analysis shows the objects remained in this position for more than three weeks," the publication said.
Some of the bodies were lying near the crater, while others were near abandoned vehicles. Three bodies were lying next to bicycles. Some had their hands tied behind their backs with a white cloth.

The second video, taken on Jablonskaya Street, shows three more bodies. One is lying next to a bicycle, another near an abandoned car. The satellite images show the abandoned car and the body lying next to it. It appeared between 20 and 21 March.
It should be recalled that satellite images show that the Russian occupants started digging a mass grave in Bucha near a church as early as 10 Marc. Later, one found a mass grave of civilians.
Earlier, it was reported that the National Police Special Forces started a cleanup of Bucha on April 2, which had been freed from the Russian occupiers. At the same time, the mayor of Bucha, Anatoliy Fedoruk, says that bodies of dead people, in particular teenagers, were lying in the city streets.
