Bodies Of Children Under 10 Killed By Russian Fascists Found In Irpin, With Signs Of Rape And Torture

Ombudsman Lyudmila Denysova reported on the monstrous crimes of the occupiers.

On the territories liberated from the Russian occupiers, mass cases of torture of civilians are recorded. In the city of Irpin, murdered children under 10 were found with signs of rape and torture.

This was announced by the Verkhovna Rada Human Rights Commissioner Lyudmila Denysova.

She also said that there was a base of a Russian army unit in the children's camp "Prolisok" in the Kyiv region for three weeks. In the basement of the building, 5 corpses of men with their hands tied behind their backs were found. They were tortured and then murdered in cold blood. One of the dead had a skull crushed with butt blows with particular cruelty. The rest were shot in the back of the head or chest.

"In the village of Viktorivka in the Chernihiv region, which was under occupation for 25 days, the Russian fascists kept people in the basement as hostages — from the elderly to newborns. To get at least a bucket of water, the villagers were sent out under escort. No medicine was given even to those whose life depended on certain drugs. A man who had asthma died, his body was buried nearby in the forest," Denysova notes.

She also reports that in the Konotop district of the Sumy region, at least three peaceful Ukrainians who were tortured have already been found at the sites of the former enemy camps.

In addition, as the Ombudsman informs, due to inhumane living conditions and infections brought by the invaders, a number of diseases have spread, among which is chicken pox.

"Torturing and killing civilians is a crime against humanity and a war crime in accordance with Articles 7 and 8 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, for which the International Military Tribunal awaits the Rashists," Denisova said.

She also appealed to the UN Commission of Inquiry into human rights violations during the Russian military invasion of Ukraine and the expert mission established by the OSCE participating States in accordance with the Moscow Mechanism, demanding to take into account these facts of the commission of war crimes and crimes against humanity and violations of human rights by the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
