More Than 12 Tons Of Counterfeit Alcohol Seized In Brest Region

The alcohol had been brought from Russia.
More than 12 tons of counterfeit alcohol were seized in a warehouse in Zhabinka district, reports the press service of the Interior Ministry.
Operatives of the Department of the Economic Crimes under the Department of Internal Affairs found the two co-owners of a trucking company - a 29-year-old resident of Zhabinka and a 47-year-old Brest resident.
It was found that the entrepreneurs had illegally brought from Russia more than 12.6 thousand litres of counterfeit spirits worth about Br98.5 thousand and stored them in a warehouse. They planned to sell it to the population in small batches.
The goods have been sent for forensic examination, and the men have been brought to administrative responsibility.
