The Alliance is moving fighter jets into the country.
NATO has created a new battle group in Romania. Now US fighter jets, which were previously located at a base in Italy, are being transferred to the country.
The relevant information was shared by the command of the Joint Armed Forces (JAF) "Naples" on the official page on Twitter.
"For these Romanian armored personnel carriers, the hill is just a bump in the road. The NATO Response Force has been activated and NATO has created a new battle group in Romania. NATO troops regularly conduct joint exercises to prepare for any threat to the security of the Alliance," the latest message says.

The NATO Response Force has been activated, and NATO has created a new battle group in Romania 🇷🇴.

Later, the command reported on the transfer of US fighters to Romania. The move will improve round-the-clock air patrols on NATO's eastern borders.
Important to note, on May 1, the Defender Europe 2022 and Swift Response 2022 exercises with the participation of thousands of NATO soldiers started in Poland. They also take place in eight other countries. The total number of people involved reaches 18 thousand militaries from 20 states.
