Fighters of the Kalinouski battalion made an appeal on the day of victory over fascism:

"Today, when fascism has raised its head where it has long been shouted that 'we have won'. Today, when Ukraine is confronting a new world evil, when Ukraine finds itself in the front line of the defense of civilization, Victory Day is a completely different holiday. It is about something completely different.

Ukraine will win! And there will be a new Victory Day over fascism, a new 9th of May!"
