Belarusian Agriculture Experiencing Serious Problems

The reason is the insane actions of Lukashenka.

Due to the insane actions of Lukashenka and direct participation in the war with Ukraine, agriculture is experiencing serious problems, the BOR Telegram channel writes.

Peasant farming "Rodnik" in Shumilin district is one of the largest private farms in Belarus. Here, 4,000 hectares of land are cultivated, potatoes and other vegetables are grown, and they are also engaged in seed production, milk and meat production. The founder of the farm, Yury Siamionau, says that he felt the restrictive measures quite quickly.

Everything has risen in price: fertilizers and plant protection products, seeds, fuel, components for machinery. For example, since last year we had good stocks only of protectants. Everything else had to be bought in addition at the new prices, and they increased by an average of 20-30%. With components for equipment, the situation is more complicated. The same powerful MTZ tractors run on imported engines. It may be possible to find analogues in China, but the question remains how this will affect the cost and quality.

Prices for such socially significant goods as milk and meat are regulated by the state, that is, we have no right to increase selling prices without additional instructions from the authorities. If nothing is done, then we will not only not earn money, but we will also start making products at a loss. And then the reduction of production volumes will instantly begin. In the future, this may lead to the fact that at first onions, carrots and everything that is produced in Belarus will disappear from store shelves. Then imported products will take the place of domestic products. And instead of our potatoes, we will eat Egyptian or Uzbek ones. Who needs it?

Similar situations are developing throughout Belarus. It is much easier for farmers to stop workshops and not make their products.
