US Analysts Describe Military Situation Near Kherson

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting successful counterattacks in the south of Ukraine.

Recent counterattacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in southern Ukraine have forced the Russian occupiers to give priority to their defence.

This is the conclusion reached by analysts of the American Institute for War Research (ISW) .

The occupiers are now mining unspecified locations on the banks of the Ingulets River, probably in response to successful actions by the AFU near the village of Davydov Brod (northwest of Kherson) and towards Mykolayiv and Kryvyi Rih.

"Russian forces moved one battery of barrel artillery and two batteries of rocket artillery to areas near the border of Kherson and Mykolayiv regions. Russian forces continued shelling the Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhya regions," it said.
