The court passed a sentence upon political prisoner Marya Uspenskaia, the widow of Andrei Zeltser. She was prescribed compulsory treatment, she will also be charged 100 thousand rubles as compensation for moral damage. The Viasna Human Rights Centre reported this information.

The woman was diagnosed with mental disorder by the so-called examination. Maria did not personally attend the court hearings, her interests were represented by her mother. The hearing was closed.

Recall, Marya Uspenskaia was accused of complicity in the murder of a KGB officer Dmitry Fedosyuk under Part 2 of Article 139 of the Criminal Code. She was detained on September 28 last year, after a shootout when her husband Andrei Zeltser and a KGB officer were killed.
