The Lukashists accused the brave man of hooliganism and sent him to trial.

On April 19, the Belarusian Republican Youth Union held a kind of picket near the building of the Consulate General of Poland in Brest. They claimed the picket to be 'against the actions of the Polish authorities to demolish monuments to soldier-liberators'. According to the Prosecutor's Office, a man passing by insulted the participants of the picket. According to human rights activists, he shouted 'Without Lukashenka!' to them. He was accused of hooliganism and sentenced to a year and a half of open-type colony imprisonment, according to zerkalo.io.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, 'he grossly violated public order and, expressing obvious disrespect for society, acting with exceptional cynicism, shouted humiliating statements, as well as remarks using obscene language against the picket participants'. According to human rights activists, passing by the picketers, he shouted 'Without Lukashenka'.

The Leninski District Court of Brest found the man guilty of hooliganism (Article 339 of the Criminal Code of Belarus) and sentenced him to 1.5 years of 'chemistry'.

The verdict has not entered into force, it can be appealed, and protested on appeal.
