Cruise missiles hit a high-rise building in Novograd-Volynsky.
Oleksiy Gromov, deputy chief of the Main Operative Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, says this at a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center, broadcast by Ukrinform.
"Regarding the direction of Belarus. No enemy offensive groups have been created there either. However, the enemy - the armed forces of the Russian Federation - lifted their planes from one of the airfields in the Republic of Belarus and carried out a missile strike on the territory of Ukraine today. [...] 1.15 a.m. The Zhytomyr region, missile strike, X-59 cruise missile. Two aircraft were engaged from the area of Mozyr, Homel region, Republic of Belarus, and Baranovichi airfield. Two Su-34s and one Su-30," Gromov said.
Belarus continues to provide Russia with its territory as a springboard for aggression against Ukraine, he stressed.
According to Vitaly Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr regional state (military) administration, the rockets struck a multi-story building in Novograd-Volynsky. There is no information about the injured or dead.
