Russia Experiencing Big Trouble In New Tank Crews Training

The equipment in the Russian army is about the same age as the conscripts themselves.

The Russian army lacks professional tankers. Indeed, in a short time it is impossible to qualitatively train new crews.

Military expert Oleh Zhdanov told Channel 24 about this. According to him, therefore the occupiers are forced to turn to the old staff.

Zhdanov noted that the most important person in a tank is the gunner. The accuracy of the shooting of this combat vehicle depends on his skill.

“They have a big problem with crew training. You won’t train a new crew in 3-4 weeks,” the military expert explained.

According to him, it takes 6 months to train specialists, including among tankers, by the training military unit. Therefore, the Russians were forced to turn to those who graduated from the tank school.

The military expert noted that the machinery in the Russian army is quite old. This also affects the training of crews.

“The tanks are the same age as the conscripts themselves. This is one thing. But again — quality,” Zhdanov stressed.

He added that a person who is already over 50 years old will need to recall how to work quickly on the tank on which he will be put.
