They can deploy 25 BTGs there.
Belarus can quickly move its troops to the border with Ukraine, but this cannot be done overnight. Ukrainian military expert Oleh Zhdanov, stated this, according to unian.net.
"There are six battalion tactical groups (BTGs) along the border. According to our estimates. They can deploy up to 20-25 BTGs there. If they move 6 battalion tactical groups for 5-6 days, then moving 20 BTGs, even in a combined way (this means that wheeled vehicles will go by road, and tracked vehicles by rail), can take several days," he explained.
According to Zhdanov, Ukrainian intelligence monitors the movements of the Belarusian army, and therefore it will immediately become known about developments near the border.
"Secondly, this is a mass movement of vehicles. Of course, Ukrainian intelligence will monitor this, and we will immediately know that the Belarusian army has begun to move its military equipment. You see, the Russian army has begun to move, and we already know where the convoys are going, which convoys, how many of them, what military equipment is there and the directions. As for Belarus, all the same, the intelligence is working. Intelligence will immediately detect everything," the expert summed up.
