The Forbes publication has done the calculations.
As a result of the strike on the airfield near Novofedorivka in Crimea, from 8 to 24 units of Russian aircraft were destroyed. Forbes calculated their cost depending on their number and classification.
According to the publication, before the explosions, the airfield hosted planes worth $650m to $850m.
According to the calculations, the approximate cost of the Russian aircraft is:
Su-30SM - $50 million
Su-24MR - $6 million
IL-76 - $86 million
In some cases, there may be circumstances that have a significant impact on the price of individual units, the publication notes.
CNN reported that Russia lost at least seven warplanes during the bombing of the airfield in occupied Crimea, the highest number at a time since World War II.
Experts and OSINT analysts suggested that more than ten of the terrorist country's planes may have been destroyed at the airfield (according to the AFU General Staff, nine). According to the Air Force, the occupier's losses are higher.
On August 9, several explosions took place at the Saki military airfield near Novofedorivka in Russian-occupied Crimea.
