Ukrainian Special Forces Arranging Sabotage Behind Enemy Lines — What We Know About Them

Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine organize sabotage in the Russian-occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

This was said on condition of anonymity by a representative of the Ukrainian army, whose name was not disclosed by The New York Times journalists for security reasons.

He clarified that two units within the Armed Forces of Ukraine are responsible for operations behind the lines of the Russian invaders: the Military Intelligence Service and the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine.

What is known about successful operations

In the occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, partisans managed to poison the Russian military, of which 15 died as a result of poisoning.

In addition, a sabotage was organized in the Kherson region, as a result of which the Russian soldiers were unable to steal 60,000 tons of Ukrainian grain.

It is emphasized that the Ukrainian partisans stood behind the explosion, which disabled the railway bridge connecting the city of Melitopol with the Crimea. This stopped the supply of military equipment to the Zaporizhzhia region.
