Russians Flee From Izyum And Weaken In Luhansk Region: Current Battles Maps

The defence of the Russian troops "fell down" on a huge section of the front under the blows of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian military continues their successful counteroffensive, while the Russians flee the Kharkiv region, fearing the encirclement. Meanwhile, the positions of the occupiers in the Luhansk region are also weakening.

RBC-Ukraine reported about it with reference to map data of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Kharkiv region (Volchansk-Kupyansk-Izyum-Liman line)

Ukrainian forces have penetrated Russian lines to a depth of up to 70 kilometers in some places and captured over 3,000 square kilometers of territory in the past five days since September 6 – more territory than Russian forces have captured in all their operations since April.

Ukrainian forces will likely capture the city of Izyum itself in the next 48 hours (if they have not already done so).

The Armed Forces of Ukraine were noticed on the outskirts of Izyum yesterday, September 10. At this time, the Russian occupiers tried to escape from the city, retreating to the left bank of the Oskil River.

Thus, this military success of the Ukrainians will mean that they will be able to push back the Russian offensive in the northwest of Donbas along the E40 highway, which the Russian troops tried to use to outrun the Ukrainian positions on the Slovyansk-Kramatorsk line.

Ukrainian gains are not confined to the Izyum area, but according to the maps, Ukrainian forces reportedly captured Velikiy Burluk on September 10. It would place Ukrainian forces within 15 kilometers of the international border.

Donbas

According to the map, Russian forces attempted several minor ground attacks south of Bakhmut on September 10.

Russian forces conducted two confirmed ground attacks west of Donetsk City on September 10 and repelled attempted Russian assaults on Pervomaiske (about 18km west of Donetsk City) and Novomykhailivka (about 29km southwest of Donetsk City).

Fighting continues near Donetsk City. The occupiers are shelling the suburbs to blame the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Analysts note that the situation in the Luhansk region is getting worse for the occupiers, where since September 10 the defence of the Russian troops has practically “fallen down”.

According to the ISW map, the Ukrainian fighters managed to liberate Bilohorivka and even reach the outskirts of Lysychansk.

South of Ukraine

Meanwhile, there are no significant changes in the Zaporizhzhia axis. Russian troops are attacking the line of demarcation, and Ukrainian forces, in turn, are hitting the concentrations of enemy forces in Rody and Melitopol.

International analysts note the most active four zones in the south, namely: west of Kherson City, near Snihurivka of the Mykolaiv region, southeast of the Ukrainian bridgehead over the Inhulets River, and south of the Kherson-Dnipropetrovsk regions administrative border.

Also, Ukrainian forces destroyed another Russian ferry crossing over the Dnipro River in Lvove (west of Nova Kakhovka) and an ammunition depot in Bilyaivka in the northern Kherson region. Russian forces are also reportedly attempting to repair the collapsed Kakhovka Bridge.

Recall that according to the Deepstatemap, Ukrainian fighters continue their counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region, and the cleansing of Izyum continues.

Meanwhile, in the Kharkiv axis, according to the General Staff, as of morning, enemy units from the 3rd motorized rifle division of the 20th combined arms army were left without supply routes, and the personnel were in a panic.
