Airborne Brigade From Ussuriysk, Which 'Harassed' Bucha, Completely Destroyed In Southern Ukraine

The "elite" unit of Russian troops has practically ceased to exist.

Payback for war crimes has overtaken the "heroes". The remnants of the infamous 83rd Separate Guards Airborne Assault Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces from Ussuriysk, which committed atrocities in Bucha during the occupation of Kyiv Region, have been smashed to pieces in the Kherson direction - the unit has de facto ceased to exist.

This was reported on the Facebook page of the Transcarpathia Legion, the 128th Separate Transcarpathia Assault Brigade.

It is reported that on September 3, as a result of a successful offensive by units of the Transcarpathia Legion of the AFU in the Kherson direction, the 83rd Separate Airborne Assault Brigade lost about 40% of its firepower, 30% of its personnel, and its ability to conduct any combat operations.

As a result, the command of the Ussuri brigade decided to leave its positions and move to a temporary permanent base on the left bank of the Dnieper. However, in the Russian segment of the Internet and RosSMI, any mention of this is being actively "mopped up".

According to the author of the Bandermobile Driver channel fighting in the south of Ukraine, the 83rd Airborne Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces has virtually ceased to exist.

It is known that the 83rd Independent Guards Airborne Assault Brigade is a separate unit within the Airborne Troops of the Russian Armed Forces stationed in Ussuriysk. Its personnel strength was about 3,500.

Together with other units, this brigade took part in the attack on Kyiv region in February 2022 and managed to "make an appearance" in Bucha.

In late March 2022, Lieutenant Colonel Vitaliy Slabtsov, deputy commander of the 83rd Independent Airborne Assault Brigade of the Russian Federation, was liquidated in Kyiv Region.

On March 30, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that a ceremony of farewell to the dead servicemen - around 200 people - was held at the permanent deployment point of the 83rd Independent Airborne Assault Brigade on March 28.

Over the summer, the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces received information on the servicemen of the 83rd Independent Airborne Assault Brigade stationed in Ussuriysk, Primorsky Region of the Russian Federation, who were involved in the atrocities in Bucha.

We remind you that on April 1, 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the towns of Bucha and Borodyanka in Kyiv Region from the Russian military. According to information available at the time, at least 406 townspeople, including women and elderly people, were shot dead during the occupation by Russian troops. 25 women were preliminarily raped. Some of the bodies had signs of torture. There have been international calls to recognize the events in Bucha as genocide.
