Pensioners from the personnel register will be retained in the civil service.
Usurper Lukashenka has signed a decree, which defines the order of stay in the civil service of employees, who are included in the personnel registry and who have reached the age limit. The document was published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
According to the law "On Public Service in the Republic of Belarus," the age limit for civil servants in public service is 65 years.
Civil servants included in Lukashenka's personnel register may remain in service beyond the age limit with his consent or by his decision.
Civil servants from the personnel register of the government, state bodies (republican bodies of state administration, regional, Minsk city, city (cities of regional subordination), district executive committees, etc.) - upon the decision of the state body (official) authorised to take such decision.
The decision to remain in civil service beyond the age limit is taken on the basis of a recommendation to which the written consent of the civil servant for extension of the term is attached in addition to a memorandum and a reference-objective.
However, the proposed extension shall not exceed five years for civil servants occupying positions included in the personnel registers of State bodies.
No proposed term is specified for those on Lukashenka's personnel register.
The decree entered into force on September 1.
