The Ukrainians have worse attitude only to Putin.
A few years ago the Ukrainians had a very positive attitude to Lukashenka. But in 2022, the distrust of him among the residents of the neighboring country went off the scale. The results of the sociological research conducted in Ukraine at the end of December by the Info-Sapiens company at the request of the New Europe Analytical Center show this.
The survey was devoted to how Ukrainians assess the process of Ukraine's move to the EU. Ukrainians were also asked about their attitude towards the hypothetical peace talks with Russia, their trust in international organizations and foreign politicians.
The last question concerned Aliaksandr Lukashenka as well. It turned out that 94.3% of the respondents do not trust him (somewhat or completely). In 2021 it was much less - 59.2%. At the same time, in the current survey, only 3% of Ukrainians said they trust Lukashenka, while a year earlier - 29.4%.
As a result, Lukashenka ranked second in the ranking of distrust of Ukrainians for the second year in a row. Only Vladimir Putin is higher than Lukashenka. The president of Russia, which attacked Ukraine, left his ally a little behind: 97.2% of respondents said that they do not trust Putin (in 2021 - 76.7%). Only 0.6% acknowledged trusting the Russian leader (12.1% a year earlier).
In addition, Ukrainians strongly distrust Chinese President Xi Jinping and Hungarian President Viktor Orban (73% and 69%, respectively, almost three times more than a year ago). Also in the top five distrusted were French President Emmanuel Macron (49.1%, up from 35%). The leader of Turkey Recep Erdogan follows him, the level of distrust to whom (46.6%) has increased more than twice.
Meanwhile, the leaders of Ukrainian trust are Polish President Andrzej Duda (86.8% or +34% compared to the last year), US President Joe Biden (79.4% or +30% compared to the last year), Head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak (73% and 64.2%, respectively, last year they were not in the rating), President of the European Council Charles Michel (51.3%, a two-fold increase).
