The North Caucasus Is Going To Get Out Of Russia

The fall of Sevastopol will trigger the collapse of the Russian Federation.

The result of the war of conquest that the Putin regime unleashed against Ukraine will be the disintegration of Russia. Events will begin to develop rapidly after the Ukrainians liberate Crimea.

Russian historian and politician Dmitry Chernyshevsky made the forecast in his video blog on YouTube.

“The Russian Federation will not emerge from the war with Ukraine in its former form. This also applies to its borders. It was the Putin regime that launched the process of territorial transformation in Eastern Europe, announcing the annexation of four Ukrainian regions in the midst of hostilities, but even did not gain full control there... After this annexation, Russia's borders became floating and completely dependent on the outcome of this war. There is little doubt that Russia will be defeated,” Chernyshevsky said.

He is sure that many peoples in the current Russian Federation will want to secede when the defeat in the war becomes obvious. So they can save themselves from post-war hardships, chaos, political crisis, sanctions and the burden of reparations. This will probably happen with the support of not only the peoples themselves but also their regional elites.

“The first candidate for an exit from Russia is, of course, the North Caucasus. It's not just about Chechnya," the historian said.

He clarified that the Russian Empire captured this region in the 16th century. It happened after the conquest of Crimea. It is the liberation of the peninsula that will launch the reverse process most likely.

“When the ruling circles of Russia grapple after the death of Putin in the struggle for power in the face of a severe crisis, it is quite possible that the leadership of the Caucasus will decide to leave the sinking ship… Russia launched a campaign against the Caucasus by annexing Crimea. With the fall of Sevastopol, Russia's power in the North Caucasus will end,” Chernyshevsky expressed his opinion.

He clarified that the process could go peacefully, which would be the best outcome for both the remnants of the Russian Federation and the entire region. However, the possibility that Moscow will try to drown in blood the republics that desire freedom according to the Chechen scenario is not ruled out. Overall, Russia's withdrawal from the Caucasus is absolutely inevitable, according to him.
